Stoops Buick-GMC’s commitment to our shared environment

Auto body repairs entail a number of processes and conditions that can negatively impact our environment, especially if done without the proper materials and training, processes or equipment. Here are some of the lengths that we have gone to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet.

Materials

We use the latest in water-based refinish technology. (We use H20 Spray). That means that we have substantially reduced the volatile organic compounds (VOCs ) that impact air, soil, and water. Not only is this a “plus” for our environment, but it also produces a safer and more pleasant work environment for our employees.

We also recycle most of the damaged parts and fluids that we remove from vehicles, as well as the protective packaging the new parts come in.

Training and Processes

We’re trained specifically in collision repair and is continually being educated in “best practices” regarding environmental protection.

Equipment

We have spared no expense focusing on equipment that has reduced the impact of auto body repair on the environment. From ventilated and refinish cabins to high transfer paint guns to refrigerant recyclers.

We pledge that we will continue in our efforts to be responsible human beings and to make the world a little cleaner for our children and their children.
