KIDS FROM CHILDRENS BUREAU OF INDIANAPOLIS

SHARE IN SUPER BOWL EXCITEMENT

The Central Indiana Buick-GMC Dealers received 50 tickets from The National Football League for The NFL Experience earmarked for deserving children who might otherwise be unable to attend.

Jim Meyers, president of the dealer group contacted Duane Wade, Executive Director of The Family Support Center who in conjunction with The Childrens Bureau of Indianapolis found 50 Indianapolis-area children to attend this exciting Super Bowl related activity.

The Childrens Bureau which is the oldest social service agency in Indiana was founded in 1855.

The Family Support Center, located at 1575 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Boulevard, an adjunct of The Childrens Bureau provides emergency shelter and respite care for children who are either involved in or at risk of becoming involved in abuse or neglect crises.

In addition, The Center also provides parenting and mentoring classes for troubled families.

Stoops Buick-GMC has been a supporter of The Family Support Center since 1998.

In addition to providing tickets for 50 children to attend The Central Indiana Buick-GMC dealers chartered a bus to transport the children and chaperones to The Indiana Convention Center.

The National Football League also furnished T-shirts and lunch for the participants.

Staff Members from The Childrens Bureau and The Family Support Center worked to obtain permissions for the children to attend this once in a lifetime event.
