    Jeff told me I could leave my car Sunday so I could be repaired Monday at 8:00 am I never got an update I called myself to check on it. I called spoke with Jeff and said I could pick it so as it was ready. He told me I needed a battery and a valve. I asked for the print out of recommendation with my totals. I get a hand written note out of a notebook that he added up.

    Battery died. 6 years old, expected. When replacing battery they broke plastic fuse on top of battery. Had to order replacement. Cost about $100. Since car is 13 years old , I had no problem paying for the part. Know that plastic gets brittle with age especially in engine compartment. Stoops gave me a loaner car. Called me the next day that car was ready. All in all very satisfied with the service.

    Well, the three-star rating has the potential to easily bump to five or one as the jury is still out. I dropped the car off due to the check engine light being on and it was reported during inspection that the car had an oil leak. I approved the work to begin to replace the crankshaft position sensor and valve cover gaskets to be replaced. I picked up the car Friday evening and drove it home. The next morning my wife calls to tell me the check engine light is on again. I went out to the garage later to find a sizable oil spot on the floor. Oil is leaking worse than before the valve cover gaskets were replaced. I really can’t afford another week without a vehicle. Really hoping that Stoops makes this right for me.
